So Wednesday 28th June was another exciting day in the world of Doodledash. The owners of Frenchic are always striving to improve the awareness of Frenchic to the world and today was a pretty amazing way to do it. Hosted by Frenchic's PR company, Belle PR, it was held in a swanky loft room in Soho, London. Lots of bloggers and press people were invited to attend and boy did they, in numbers! I was very honoured to be one of the three Frenchic Stockists that were asked to attend to demonstrate some of the techniques achievable with the products....

Chalk Paint - Shabby Chic Piano

I was delighted to be approached by The Piano Shop, Bath to work on a shabby chic collaboration with this oak, barley twist piano. We decided to keep it quite neutral, to appeal to the largest market, and plumped for one of the Frenchic greys with a white wax finish to enhance all the fabulous detailing. It's been great working on something a bit different and I'm looking forward to further collaborations with the Piano Shop. Maybe, we'll go for a shade braver next time!

So, you've got an old gilt mirror that you've had for ages but doesn't really go with your colour scheme? Don't despair, change it up using Frenchic Chalk Paint! I bought this pretty little mirror back from France but it didn't really shout 'French' to me! So, this is what I did with it...took less than half an hour and not a lot of paint. One of the fabulous Frenchic products that I sell is the Finishing Coat. It is an eco friendly, water based varnish that is used to seal chalk paint.
